We had big hopes for Labor Day weekend and more importantly for better air quality than what we'd experienced since mid-August. Kevin found us a a great spot by the upper Mokelumne river, White Azalea campgrounds. Sadly, the air was not much better and after only one night the Ranger asked us to leave the park. California had decided to close all National Parks in light of the high temperatures and increased risk of fire. Simone was still able to reel in her first fish, Remy ate at least a 1/2lb of forest dirt and Giselle enjoyed climbing rocks.
